Seems so familiar

I was in the exact same position.

I now have built up a small number of coders and designers in India and europe that are great to work with and this has allowed me to concentrate on the elements that I love and not get bogged down by the stuff I don’t.

I used to spend days on a technical hitch and would get past from pillar to post when dealing with local companies. I regulary use scriptlance and am reviewing elance.

The best way for me is to outsource smaller tasks and see how you get on. Equally I outsource to people in the UK and this works well.
